Benji Knewman International Launch Vol. 6
11 mei 2017 tot 11 mei 2017In 2015 we launched the second volume from Riga based magazine Benji Knewman in the shop with editor Agnese Kleina. Now two years later Agnese is back in town together with designer Madara Krievina to celebrate the new redesign and international launch of volume 6 with us.
Benji Knewman is a Nieuwscentrum favourite for its idiosyncrasy, the magazine is based around the fictional editor-in-chief Benji Knewman who guides you through the stories about everyday life, art, Latvian history and beautiful portraits of ordinary people with big stories. It’s a feel good magazine with a distinctive design.
Please join us for a night with the makers of this exciting independent magazine. Agnese and Madara will present the new issue and give insights on Benji’s new design. And of course we’ll have a toast to issue 6 with them.
About Benji Knewman
Benji Knewman is a man, around 40 years old. He’s trying to be genuine, and it seems he sometimes manages. Just like his grandfather who used to say: “Ben, how you spend your day is how you spend your life!” Currently Benji Knewman is more everywhere than anywhere. Mostly on the road. He’s still in search of his own perfect day. While looking for it, he curates a biannual bookazine telling stories about people who don’t pretend and who can simply be. Covering a myriad of vocations and lifestyles, as well as geographical locations, they’re living proof that you don’t have to be conventional to have a good life.
